IT'S THE MUSIC

Tell Them "It's the Music" - For over 25 years, this statement from John Lennon has been ringing through my ears.  I was selling Beatle records and  memorabilia at the NYC Beatlefest in 1974.   John Lennon and Yoko Ono had sent a camera crew to videotape the Beatlefest event.  They wanted to see what was happening there, and obviously would have been mobbed if they showed up themselves.

I saw the video camera taping my copies of "Wedding Album", and photos that I was selling.  It was the only camera that did not have a human interviewer attached to it.  After Beatlefest, I heard that John and Yoko had watched the tape.  John's saw the massive amount of memorabilia, the Beatle trays, pillows, puzzles, bubble bath, photos, posters, toys, etc.  And saw the high prices!   His only statement was "Tell them It's the Music".

It's with this thought in mind that I created these web pages.  Although these pictures, and the history of Abbey Road, Apple, etc. are fun diversions, the most important thing to me is the actual music the Beatles created.

I like this photo, I took it by accident, but it reminds me of the back photo
of the Abbey Road album in that there is a blurred person...
