BATTERSEA POWER STATION

Now out of service and abandoned, the Battersea Power Station stands proudly like the monolith from 2001 A Space Odyssey.  I walked from Chelsea over a bridge to the South Bank and then through Battersea Park to snap this photo.  I had been a Pink Floyd Fan since 1969, and I happened to spot the plant from the window of the plane as we were landing in London.  I couldn't resist seeing it up close...   I think this power station was also used in the Beatles film Help!

Then, I decided the photo didn't look foreboding enough, so I redid the sky using PhotoShop...
