CHELSEA

As I've said, I lost a roll of film somewhere on the tube, and now the only photo I have left of my visit to Chelsea is a photo of my Jane Asher fridge magnet!   Jane Asher owns Jane Asher Party Cakes in Chelsea.  She happened to be in the shop when I was there.  I didn't speak to her, I am not really familiar with her work as an actress, and I am certain she would NOT care to "chat" about the Beatle days.  She is really beautiful, I think she is 10 years older than I am, but she looks 10 years younger!

But I do want to say this about Jane and the Beatle days...  I admire her and all the women like her, including Yoko Ono and Cynthia Lennon,  who endured the mid to late 60's being with a male rock "superstar".   Women were not at ALL treated fairly at that time.  The most extreme example of what happened to some women in the 60's may be Marianne Faithfull.   I cannot say enough about my admiration of Marianne for her strength and the fact that she survived.    These women really endured a lot and not only survived, but have come out of their experiences as "enlightened gurus" - teachers.   Not to mention that compared to their male counterparts, the women still  look young and fantastic...
