Welcome to the Stargazer Collection of Halloween papier-mâché figurines. Presently our brochure offerings consist primarily, though not exclusively, of highly collectable papier-mâché characters that have been produced in Bavaria for more than one hundred years. Papier-mâché is a material made of paper pulp mixed with various ingredients that is easily molded when moist and that dries strong and hard. Original antique molds and painting techniques are used, but each figure is hand-painted; consequently, there may be slight variations in color, surface, and/or painting. The figure-making process incorporates today's ecological concerns, while at the same time being true to historical tradition. |

Watermelon
Man: Introducing Watermelon Man; another combination
lantern/candy container. Standing 7" high, he sports a hand
painted watermelon pattern and paper insert. His top comes off
and treats or gifts can be stored inside. He has a clown nose
and a cotton ruff with gourds at his base. His stem is a carved

THE PUMPKIN MAN BOBBER is one of our favorite pieces. His head is attached to his body by a large spring sensitive to any movement, with vibration causing it to bob up and down and back and forth. These OLD GERMAN SQUEAKERS are almost impossible to distinguish from the originals produced around the turn of the century. The small "bellows" attached at the back of each original chromolithograph makes a squeaking noise when shaken. Each is about 8-1/2" long. Sold in sets of four.
